Why is a +1 added to my mobile number field?

If you do not use the CCMC URL to log into Jungo, Salesforce will open a screen asking you to verify your account by adding in your cell phone number. When you do this, it changes the format of your cell phone to:
It automatically updates your mobile phone number on your personal info page and this is how it will look in your signature block that is added to every email sent out of Jungo.
How to alleviate this…
